Strange objects stand around.

Measure. Island. Time.
Strange objects stand around: on the beach, in the water, in the dunes. Unnoticed by tourists on Norderney, the German North Sea island is a place of data collection for research and surveying – for coastal protection, climate models, radioactivity and road signs, for example.
The measuring and auxiliary devices, which are always placed in the centre of the frame, are accompanied by a stream of terms from their technical and scientific sphere.
In the film, the measuring devices constantly emit signals. Are they communicating with each other?
