Under the direction of J\u00fcrgen Ellinghaus, who was born on the Weser river and now lives on the Seine, films are shown in front of our camera in Togo, West Africa, which were made over a century ago in the German colony &#8220;Togoland&#8221;. Together with the audience in today&#8217;s Togo, we discover these film images and collectively question the film material about its historical background and the effects of colonialism to this day.<\/p>\n<p>The feature documentary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxim-film.de\/en\/portfolio-items\/togoland\/\" class=\"local-link\">TOGOLAND<\/a> is a French-German co-production between Les Films de l\u2019\u0153il sauvage, maxim film and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, funded among others from CNC in France and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nordmedia.de\/pages\/service\/produktionsspiegel\/subpages\/togoland_-_bilder_aus_der_musterkolonie__at_\/index.html\" class=\"ext-link\" rel=\"external nofollow\" onclick=\"this.target=&#039;_blank&#039;;\">nordmedia Lower Saxony\/Bremen<\/a> in Germany.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4598,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4597","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-post-english"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>TOGOLAND starts - maxim film.
